If I open task manager:After I check the details:what I see on my screen:What I tried:* .NET repair tool* Cleaning all malwareSometimes this command prompt flashes for a few seconds and turns off. Checked the file location but it doesn't exist.

I suggest you to un-check and recheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series from Windows features.

Try the following steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
• Type Appwiz.cpl and select "turn Windows feature on or off" from the left
• Uncheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer
• Repeat step 1 and 2 and check .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer.

Difficulty of installing .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 and windows update

From the description provided, I understand that the Windows feature is turned off for .NET Framework

Please follow the below recommended methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Method 1

This issue might also occur due to corruption in Windows Update component files. I suggest you to reset Windows Update component. Kindly follow the below given steps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
  
• 
  Stop the BITS service, the Windows Update service, and the Cryptographic service. To do this, at a command prompt, type the following commands. Make sure that you press Enter after you type each command.
  
  • 
    net stop bits
    
  • 
    net stop wuauserv
    
  • 
    net stop appidsvc
    
  • 
    net stop cryptsvc
    
• 
  Rename the software distribution folders backup copies. To do this, at a command prompt, type the following commands. Make sure that you press Enter after you type each command.
  
  • 
    Ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bak
    
  • 
    Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak
    
• 
  Restart the BITS service, the Windows Update service, and the Cryptographic service. To do this, at a command prompt, type the following commands. Make sure that you press Enter after you type each command.

  net start bits
  
• 
  net start wuauserv
  
• 
  net start appidsvc
  
• 
  net start cryptsvc
  

5. Restart your PC and check if it works this time when you try to update.

Method 2

If the above method doesn’t resolve the issue then you may uninstall the current version of the .NET Framework and
once you clean up all the versions of .Net Framework from your computer, then visit the link below and install the latest version of .net framework manually and from the below link.
