Windows 10: Ethernet adapter keep restarting

Hey, so, I have this problem, that every once in a while, my ethernet adapter self restarts. It can happen every few minutes, or every few hours, it's not consistent.


I had a problem, that after booting the pc, I had to always restart the adapter, to properly connect. This was solved with a script, that runs when the pc boots up, or wakes from sleep. I am positive, that this doesn't cause the issue, as I tried tracking it through Task Scheduler, and can say, that it only starts when I boot up, and ends moments after.


So, regarding the problem, I tried updating all my network drivers, didn't help. I also tried reinstalling all of them manually removed every single one, and then rebooted pc to reinstall, that didn't help either. I then turned off the windows ability to turn the driver off to save power, no help. Changed my IPv4 from automatic to manual, didn't help.


I noticed, that there is a task that activates just as I lose connection - NetworkStateChangeTask. A few instances of it appear every time as I lose connection.


The only thing changing in my ipconfig is 2 DNS servers - they are removed, and then added when I regain connection.


No idea what I should do next, as I don't want to reinstall the whole windows again I didn't a clean install a few weeks ago due to some issues.


Any idea what could help me?

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
Step 2:

Expand it (Network adapters).


Step 3:

Select your network adapter


Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.




Step 6:

Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.



Step 7:

Now choose the “Manufacturer’s drivers” from the list of two and then click next.



Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.



Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

Step 1:

Open command prompt.
Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
netsh int tcp show global
then hit enter.
Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs

 

GRAH! Ethernet adapter NOT working!

thanks for the replies guys.

i tried most of whats been suggested already. restarted router, installed the latest drivers from nvidia for the nforce chipset + ethernet, and the adapter isn't disabled (its getting a wacked out ip address compared to the rest of the systems on the network, and occasionally, i can ping.)

  Click View on the Menu bar and select Show hidden devices.
  
• 
  Locate Network Adapter and expand the same.
  
• 
  Right-click on Ethernet adapter
  and click on Uninstall button to uninstall the driver associated with the device.

  Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
  

Also, download and install the latest network drivers from the manufacturer website and run in compatibility mode.
