Windows 10: Ethernet adapter keeps disappearing and reappearing without internet access

I am on a Windows 10 Pro machine, version 1903. Most of the time my ethernet connection works fine, but at least once every couple of days, the ethernet connection will fail.


It is acting like the adapter itself is suddenly not found or is not plugged in to a network, and then it is found again, but without internet access. I have to switch to WiFi when this happens, and it usually takes a day or two to clear up before the ethernet connection is magically back to normal.


When the connection problem is happening, the "Network and Internet Settings" window quickly toggles between two conditions screenshots below:


First, we see that the ethernet adapter is either not found, or is not plugged in to any networks:




Then we see that the ethernet adapter is found and plugged in, but without internet access:




While the problem is occurring, the system and settings will switch between these two messages very quickly, about every two or three seconds.


My ethernet connection is so much better than my WiFi connection, so thank you for any help!

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
Step 2:

Expand it (Network adapters).


Step 3:

Select your network adapter


Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.




Step 6:

Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.



Step 7:

Now choose the “Manufacturer’s drivers” from the list of two and then click next.



Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.



Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

Step 1:

Open command prompt.
Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
netsh int tcp show global
then hit enter.
Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs

 

Folders keep reappearing


The script "64-bit_Remove_All_user_Folders_in_This_PC.reg" has a major bug. The linked folders keep reappearing under This PC. This is what happens:

1. Quick Access and This PC both contain the Documents folder
2. The "64-bit_Remove_All_user_Folders_in_This_PC.reg" script is applied
3. The linked folders disappear from This PC. Everything is fine.
4. I click the Documents folder under Quick Access, then double click a documents sub folder on the right panel.
5. The Documents folder reappears under This PC.

The idea of my setup is to have all common folders pinned under Quick Access, and none under This PC to avoid any duplicates. Is there any way to fix this?
