Windows 10: Ethernet Adapter not showing up in settings or control panel after disabling it and...

My internet kept going off and on while I was playing games so I went to the control panel and disabled ethernet and tried to re-enable it, however, it would not let me re-enable it and whenever I pressed it, it stayed as disabled. I restarted my PC because I thought that might fix the issue however when I loaded it back up the ethernet option was no longer there in settings or in adapter settings in control panel. I've attempted a plethora of fixes, but none have fixed my issue and I do not know what to do.possible helpful information: In Device manager, there is a yellow triangle with an exc

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
Step 2:

Expand it (Network adapters).


Step 3:

Select your network adapter


Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.




Step 6:

Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.



Step 7:

Now choose the “Manufacturer’s drivers” from the list of two and then click next.



Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.



Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

Step 1:

Open command prompt.
Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
netsh int tcp show global
then hit enter.
Step 4:

Your screen shot looks like you went to adapter properties from the network and sharing center. Go to control panel, device manager, choose your nic, right click and choose properties. It should show there. It should have the tab where you went but this is worth a try.

 

Changing control panel ethernet name [Windows 10]

I'm unable to change the control panel name for my ethernet network interface. I understand how to change network names and adapter names. The name I want is displayed correctly under change adapter settings. I want it labeled, "Ethernet".

Part OCD, Part determination, I want to figure out how to rename in it windows control panel. It is labeled, "Ethernet 3".

It changes in adapter settings, it does not in control panel. I've searched many, multiples, of solved threads and they do not answer this specific problem in renaming the control panel name. This could be that I have some sort of registry issue and it should be renaming it through conventional methods when it otherwise is not, I am not sure of that.
