Windows 10: Ethernet cable not being detected by Windows 11

I have an Ethernet Port jack on my wall that supplies internet. When I connect a cable from the jack to my router then a cable from my router to my pc, Windows detects it and I get an internet connection. Problem is, when I try to remove the router and connect a cable from the jack to my pc, Windows won't detect it. It just says Not connected on the Ethernet tab.I don't think the cable is the problem because I used the same cable, plugged it to my laptop and my laptop is able to detect it.My motherboard is an Asus TUF GAMING Z790. I've also updated my Ethernet driver Intel Ethernet Controller

Please reply to the follow questions to get a better understanding on the issue:

• What is the model number of your laptop?
  
• Do you have a yellow exclamation on the network icon after connecting the cat 7 cable?
  

However, you can follow the troubleshooting steps from
Fix network connection issues in Windows.

Also, I suggest you to check the laptop manual or laptop manufacturer to know whether the Ethernet port of your laptop supports cat 7 cable.

PC with Window 11 could not detect internet connection via ethernet cable to modem.

I bought an HP laptop about 4 months ago, which came with Window 11 installed. Recently every time when the laptop is powered up, it could not detect the connection to internet via Ethernet cable connection (the pc was able to detect internet via wifi to the same modem). I need to unplug the ethernet cable from the pc and plug in again then only the laptop detected the internet connection. I do not have this problem since the laptop was delivered, it seems to happen recently after the recent Window 11 update 22h2. I contacted HP Technical Supports today 29/10 and they helped me to trouble shoot, installed all Window updates, and even reset the laptop to its original condition, yet the laptop still could not detect the internet connection via Ethernet cable. Both HP and me feel that the problem could be due to the recent window update. Does anyone face similar problem, or has any recommendation to solve the problem?

You need to solve your problem one step at a time, e.g. like so:

• Connect your CAT5 cable directly to your router. If it does not work, replace the cable.
• Connect the cable to your TP-Link wall plug. If it does not work, reconfigure or replace the wall plug.
