    Hi could anyone please help me? So ethernet connects for 3seconds disconnects for 30 then repeats. The issue has been on and off for a while last time was roughly 2months ago I've usually been able to fix it by trying one of the methods below this time it just won't stay connected. I'm able to swap this pc to windows 10 using my old hdd and the issue doesn't persist so I'm assuming the issue is windows 11 related.I've tried multiple different ethernet cables, diagnosing network problems resetting the router calling my internet provider, uninstalling and restarting, uninstalling and reinsta

    Ethernet Connection Occasionally Drops

    On occasion my ethernet connection drops and an auto-configuration address gets assigned by Windows 10. I purchased an ethernet card thinking the problem with the ethernet that is built into the motherboard, but the ethernet connection still randomly drops. The ethernet connection will randomly start working again. Yes, I disabled the onboard ethernet in the BIOS, so conflicts would not be an issue. I have no idea if the issue can be fixed or not. I have had this issue since I purchased this used computer in 2019. If it is the motherboard, then I will just live it with until the computer is replaced. I realize the issue is probably not easily fixable, but any suggestions will be appreciated. The DNS shown is the DNS of my VPN provider. Let me know if you need any other information.

    Windows 10 Enterprise Ethernet Connection Drops?

    I just installed and plugged in a new Windows 10 Enterprise HP box into our network and it is intermittently dropping and reconnecting the Ethernet connection. It is not reliable.

    Suggestions?

    Wired Ethernet Connection Constantly Dropping (Windows 10)

    My mom recently purchased a laptop from HP running Windows 10. I hooked it up to our Xfinity modem/router via Ethernet and the wired connection is consistently dropping for 5ish seconds, connecting again for a second or two, and then repeating the process.
    Connection over WiFi has no problems whatsoever. My own laptop that runs 8.1 has no problems with the same 2-in-1 modem/router, whether wired or wireless.

    Any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy the problem?
