Windows 10: Ethernet disconnects for a few seconds multiple times only within an hour after startup....

Hello,When starting up the PC, the ethernet connection disconnects for 2-3 seconds, I get the globe icon with no connection to the network, then reconnects. This happens in around 2 minute intervals for the next hour or two after startup only, then is resolved after. I've had this issue since I moved to a new place and got a new ISP and ethernet cable about a year+ ago. This wasn't a problem for the same PC before the move.I've tried many possible solutions I found searching the web, but nothing worked. I've also changed my ethernet cable to a better one and contacted my ISP for possible route

Windows 11 Pro - Ethernet Disconnects for a Few Seconds a Couple of Times per Day

A couple of times per day, my Ethernet will drop for a few seconds (icon in taskbar shows disconnected, and network connections are lost). The Wi-Fi remains connected, and the router (TP-Link) doesn't show any loss of connection. Windows Event Viewer doesn't show anything under "System."

My router is connected to the wall jack with an Ethernet cable, then an Ethernet cable connects the router to my pc via a USB-C adapter. So far, I have tried switching out ethernet cables and the adapter, and all devices (router, pc + drivers) are updated. I have tried restarting both the router and pc. Running network troubleshooter shows no issues. Issue is ongoing for a couple of months across multiple Windows updates.

If anyone could recommend steps to diagnose/solve this issue it would be much appreciated. I do have an additional pc I could test the connection on if anyone could recommend a program/command for monitoring the Ethernet uptime to see if this is an issue with my current pc or with my router.

Ethernet constant disconnects - NetworkProfile EventID 10001

Hello there,

After hours of searching & trying to fix my constant disconnect issues in vain, I chose to ask for your help here.

Setup:

• Desktop PC connected by ethernet
  
• Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family controller
  
• Last gen "Orange" livebox 6 router (french ISP) on a optic fibre connection
  

Problem:

• In certain cases (video calls with slack/teams/other, while online gaming) there are constant disconnects. Connection is constant otherwise.
  
• The connection drops for a few seconds, then comes back up
  
• Only applies to ethernet, wifi isn't affected
  
• This can happen every few minutes, dozens of minutes, or hours, it seems completely random
  

I did find all the entries in the log that correspond to every disconnect I've had, under Microsoft > Windows > NetworkProfile

For each disconnect I've got the same few entries in this order for provider Microsoft-Windows-NetworkProfile:

eventID 10001 > 4004 > 20002 > 4001 (pending identification) > 1000 > 4004 > 4002 (pending identification) > 20002 > 4004

I found various posts listing fixes to what seemed to be my problem but none worked for me (ethernet controller power saving modes, DNS wpad resolution fails, cpu offload...etc...).

Ethernet disconnecting all the time for a second

Hello everyone,

I have this issue for some time already now it reached its peak and really drives me crazy.

From time to time my internet connection becomes extremely unstable and starts disconnecting all the time for a second.

This leads to reconnecting in games all the time, missing fractures of a work-call or reconnecting to ssh-sessions.

I am pretty sure this issue comes from a drivers problem, but I don't know how to identify the faulty driver. Are there any tools to find out if and what driver messes around with my internet?

I ruled out a broken ethernet-cable because I also have the same issue with a wifi-connection.

Also ruled out a general bad internet because all other members of my household have no issues at all.

I am happy about every help!
