    I recently got a new router and when I plug my ethernet cable into my docking station, it doesn't connect like it used to. When I connect my ethernet directly via my USB-C adapter, it works.I followed the Ethernet connection troubleshooting steps here - making sure that my ethernet cable is secured, restarting my modem and router which I don't think is the issue, since my Apple TV is connecting just fine. I'm seeing flashing lights in my ethernet port there, but not for the cord connected to my computer, checking network status, running the network commands they suggested. I have not re-inst

    Pluggable sound and ethernet no longer working with Win10 and docking station

    Whatever update to Windows 10 that was pushed down around Nov. 26 has made my Pluggable USB 3.0 docking station not work properly. I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon hooked to external speakers and monitor through the dock station. The monitor works, but the external
    speakers and the Ethernet connection no longer work through the USB 3.0 cable. I have tried to re-install the driver, but no luck. Not having Ethernet really sucks. External speakers is an annoyance. Anyone suggest a fix?

    Connect a Dell XPS Windows laptop to Ethernet via a generic docking station

    I have a generic docking station for laptops. It connects to the laptop with a USB 3.0 connection, and supplies several USB connections plus an Ethernet connection.

    When I connected it to a two-years-old laptop -- HP+Ubuntu -- it worked great - I could use Ethernet, mouse, keyboard and printer simultaneously.

    Now, I connected it to a new laptop -- Dell XPS 9570 + Windows 10 Pro; all connections I tested work fine (mouse, keyboard and printer) but the ethernet connection is not working - I cannot connect my laptop to ethernet.

    Is there something I should do with my laptop so that I can connect it to ethernet via the docking station? Maybe install some driver or change some setting in Windows?
