Windows 10: "Ethernet Doesn’t Have A Valid IP Configuration" after latest windows 10 update 2020-07

Hi


I updated my PC this month and after the update I am unable to get my Ethernet working at all.

I've spent 2 days so far and have just about got the WiFi working today by updating to the latest Intel Network driver - however my Ethernet is still showing as an identified network.


What I have done so far;

1. Checked and replaced all my Ethernet cables
   
2. Called my ISP and checked my router my other PC does not have any issue connecting to my router via my cables or wifi
   
3. Run the troubleshooter multiple times, which has yielded nothing
   
4. Toggled my firewall and antivirus Zonealarm which was blocking attempts, but even after completely turning ZA off I still had the same issue
   
5. Updated my network adapter which only made the wifi work

8. Tried a DCHP restart with refused me with the error code 5 https://zcom.tech/ethernet-doesnt-have-a-valid-ip-configuration-windows-10.html/
   
9. Tried to make my NIC obtain an IP address automatically it already does
   
10. used, netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt, ipconfig /release, ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /renew all - all to seemly no effect https://zcom.tech/ethernet-doesnt-have-a-valid-ip-configuration-windows-10.html/
    
11. Restored back to previous versions of windows via backups, going back as far as 1 month does not fix the issue

If someone could help me troubleshoot this i'd be grateful, as this latest update has left me with a £2,500 gaming PC with little to no internet connectivity.

I have also installed all the updates again, which has not fixed anything.
