Windows 10: Ethernet issues.

Yesterday I got a new CAT6 ethernet cable to swap out my CAT5E ethernet cable. After doing so the ethernet speed went from 50mbps to 20 ish mbps. Then I swap my new cable with my old cable and it says at 20mbps but at the start of the speed test it starts at 50mbps then goes down to 20mbps. After dealing with the speed drop I do some gaming and notice that every now and then the network suddenly drops for about 5 seconds then goes back up to 20mbps. I got the new ethernet cable because I thought my old cable was bringing down my speed potential so I thought getting a faster cable would do the

Ethernet connection issues

This issue might happen if the power saver option is set.

I suggest you to follow the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows Key + X key and click on
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand Network Adapters.
  
• 
  Right-click on the Network Adapter listed and click on
  Properties.
  
• 
  Click on Power Management tab.
  
• 
  Uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power box and click on
  Ok.
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
