  1. Ethernet Link Broken after Port Fowarding with MoCA

Hi all,Not sure if this has affected anyone else, I've seen similar posts created but not exact. I've been having some trouble hosting a gaming server from my PC with its port forwarded through my home gateway. My setup is as follows: I have two MoCA adapters, one which goes to my PC's ethernet port, and another on a LAN port on my ISP provided Modem/Router. The adapters are connected through pre-existing Coax infrastructure in my home. The server is port forwarded to my PC's static address, which I've setup using the ISP's modem portal. Both adapters interestingly have also been assigned a

Meanwhile, to isolate your concern, we suggest that you check the following:

    • If the Ethernet port is clean.

    • If the end of RJ45 (Ethernet cord) is still intact.

    • If available, test the RJ45 (Ethernet cord) to your other device and check if issue persists.

Moca with spectrum internet in apartment

I am getting only spectrum internet in an apartment I am moving to and want my nas to have a direct ethernet connection to my devices in another room. I plan on purchasing 2 moca adapters to accomplish this but I am having trouble understanding exactly how to hook the coax up properly.

I was going to purchase the Hitron Bonded MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter. My confusion is getting the first moca adapter set up properly. I have the coax coming from my wall and then going into my Spectrum modem(I have my own wireless router that I will be using).

Do I hook the coax feed from the wall to the moca adapter then hook another coax from the moca to the modem? Or do I hook the coax feed to the modem, then just run an ethernet cable from the modem to the moca adapter?
