Windows 10: Ethernet not connecting to DHCP server after windows update?

Please help me.My Ethernet is not connecting to the internet. when running the troubleshooter, it changes from “cannot connect to gateway”, “no DHCP server was found”, and “connected but connection may be weak”. These all switch around in a matter of 5-10 seconds and I NEVER have internet connection. This occurred after updating my windows version. I am able to connect via wireless internet, but the connection is VERY slow. The DHCP Server service terminated without a valid clue

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol): Every device on TCP/IP needs unique IP address to access the network. DHCP controls the allotment of IP addresses. However, if
you can access internet, DHCP should work fine. But if there is some issue with the internet, you can follow these steps and resolve the DHCP error.

I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
   
2. Type Control and hit enter.
   
3. Click on Network and internet > click on Change adapter settings
   on the left pane.
   

4. Right click on the Ethernet connection you are using and select properties.


5. Select Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPV4) and click on properties.


6. Check the following radio boxes:

• Obtain an IP address automatically
• Obtain DNS server address automatically

7. Now windows 10 will retrieve the IP address automatically.

"No Internet Access" on Ethernet and Wireless - Windows 10

Steps taken to resolve:

• Downloaded from Realtek and installed Windows 10 driver for Realtek PCIe FE Family device
• reset winsock and ip4 and ip6.
• reset DNS cache
• forced media connection by changing ip4 to fixed ip address, gateway, and dns server. Able to ping other devices on network - including gateway, but could not connect to internet. Diagnose unable to find issue with connection.
  • "ipconfig /release" message is "no operation can be performed on (adapter name) while it has its media disconnected."
• when using DHCP, do not receive response from default gateway, so ipconfig has strange addresses. Diagnose returns:
  • "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration.
• all other computers on network able to use DHCP for addresses.

trudging through topics on tech forum(s) to find other solutions. Need suggestions on resolution.

 

How to configure radius for DHCP Server in windows server 2012?

I am trying to configure radius with dhcp.Already installed a dhcp server in windows server 2012. Does dhcp is required to be authorized .For now,it is not authorized.Also,installed NPS role in another server 2012. How to configure radius for dhcp?

Please guide with the detailed steps.
