Windows 10: ethernet not working or even showing up at all after CPU and RAM upgrade

Ethernet adapter is missing from the Network Adapters section in Device Manager, this includes and hidden devices. Does not show up in any part of Network & internet settings. I have tried running various commands in cmp and updating drivers. I also know it is not a cable issue. The lights that tell me the cable is plugged in correctly on my motherboard light up when I plug the cable in. I have tried unplugging and restarting then plugging the cable back in but nothing works. I am able to use WiFi. The problem only began after I replaced my CPU and added two more sticks of RAM. Ethernet shows red X and does not appear in settings, but still works


Not sure why this is happening. I have working ethernet and am connected, it works fine. But the taskbar icon shows a red X over it, and the tooltip says "Not Connected - No connections are available". Looking in "Network & Internet", ethernet is not even listed there. And before anyone suggests wireless interference .. this PC does not have a wireless card or integrated wireless.

 

RAM and CPU upgrade

my product ID is 00359-OEM-8992687-00006 and i want to upgrade its RAM and CPU, what RAM and CPU upgrade is compatible to it?

 

Windows shows 8GB RAM installed but 4GB RAM is usable

Hi There,

I've just upgraded my pc from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM. Windows seems to have detected this upgrade but why does it show as only 4GB RAM available. The following is what I have tried so far with no luck:

• I have tried the msconfig method on ensuring maximum memory is not checked.
• physically removed the new RAM and reinstalled it

Any thoughts/suggestions on how i can resolve this matter?
