    Ethernet not working whenever I turn my computer on until I unplug/replug it a few times.


    I recently got an ethernet cable, and it worked fine for a couple of days, but suddenly, whenever I turn on my computer it doesn't seem to work until I replug it a few times.I've tried looking up the problem on Google a few times but can't find anything. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with this; it's super annoying to deal with.

    Wireless USB Adapter has to be unplugged and replugged

    Every now and then my wireless USB adapter has to be unplugged and replugged because for some reason its performance just gets worse and worse with time. I'll plug it in and get full internet speed 18Mbps down with full bars and then slowly it just drops to 48, 32, 11... with like 2 bars.

    Once I unplug and replug, bam full speed again.

    Am I doomed to just doing this or is their a fix? Google provided little input.

    Ethernet connection slow and almost not working

    Thanks both. I unplug the router and replug after 10 mins and did some power management changes and disable some stuff as suggested. Still didn't work it seems.

    Just to also inform that Wi fi connection seems fine. It's just that the ethernet is really lagging as compared to wifi, so much that it takes a long time to load something. (wifi is fine though)

    Please reply with the below information to know more about the issue:

    • What happens exactly when you try to turn on the Ethernet and wireless adapters?
    • Are you getting any error message?

    I suggest you to unplug and replug the Ethernet cable and try to login with Microsoft, also try to turn ‘ON’ the Ethernet and wireless adapters and check if it helps.
