Windows 10: Ethernet only connects when booting with it

My laptop Gigabyte A5 X1 will only connect to the Ethernet network if it is plugged in during boot. It pretends that the cable doesn't even exist if I plug it in while it's on. The troubleshooter "Find and fix problems with your network adapter" also says that the cable is "not properly connected or may be broken" although that certainly isn't the case.It works fine if I reboot while having the cable plugged in.This has been the case for the past few days and I have made no changes to any network settings in the past few months.

How to delete an ethernet connection?

Just as title says. I have some old ethernet connections in my list, and I would like to delete it to clean.

Any suggestion?

• Did you make any recent changes to your computer?
• Have you tried troubleshooting the issue by yourself? If yes, what were the steps you have taken so far?

I would suggest you to try the following and check:

• Verify that the cable connects the modem to the wall jack is connected securely.
• Verify that the cable connects the computer to the modem is attached securely at both ends.
• Restart the router/modem.
