Windows 10: Ethernet port lights stay on during sleep.

We just purchased two Optiplex 7020 Plus from Dell, brand new. One tower and one SFF. Tower ethernet light goes off during sleep, SFF stays on. SFF has Vpro, tower does not. All power and device settings are the same in both machines. Thanks.

Ethernet Light Orange/ "Local Area Network" Not in Network List

Last night I noticed my ethernet light on the back of my computer was orange. I did some research to find the reason. Some websites said it was an increased connection speed. Others said a problem with the connection.
The local area network is no longer in the list of network connections and the other computer in my house has a green light on the ethernet port.
I've used all the cmd.exe ipconfig steps suggested by websites. Flush dns, reset dns, etc. I've also used the network troubleshooter in windows10 which told me a problem was not found.
Nothing seems to change the light back to green. Can someone help me find the problem so I can fix it?

 

Light on Touchpad stays on

• When you say, “The white light on my touchpad” which light are you referring to?
  
• What is the exact model number of your computer?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article
How to turn the backlight on and off and check if the Illumination setting is available for Touchpad in the console.

Ethernet port doesn't light up on motherboard unless adapter is disabled, any fix?

My ethernet port has been working perfectly, right up to yesterday morning when we switched from a Virgin Media router to a Sky router

As soon as the switch happened my ethernet doesn't work on my PC anymore

The ethernet cable that goes to my PC still works and provides ethernet to say for example if I connect it to my Sky Home - the ethernet works fine. But for some reason when I connect it to my PC the green/orange light on the ethernet port do not even light up - so it's not a cable/router issue

I've tried to update my drivers and reinstall them and flush my IP etc etc, but I've had no success. I've managed to get the green/orange light on the ethernet port to light up but it only lights up when I disable my ethernet driver, which is very confusing. However, obviously with the driver disabled my PC cannot connect to the ethernet connection, then when I enable the driver the lights go off again on the port and it says that I do not have a cable connected

From research it seems that the only fix is to buy an external ethernet adapter? But this makes no sense considering my ethernet was working perfectly fine yesterday (via my old router) even though using the same ethernet cables work fine on different devices via my new router apart from my PC

Does anyone have any advice on this? Very annoying that I'm going to have to spend £30 for an adapter and assume that my ethernet port is fried on my £630 (asus x670e hero) motherboard...
