Windows 10: Ethernet speed reduced by PC

I have a gigabit net and sometimes I can use it without problems on my pc, but other times when I go to the internet device in the internet device manager, it says that it only does 100mbps instead of 1gb even when I set it to do speed and duplex 1gb or auto-negotiation, I've already checked the cable and the router and they don't seem to have any problems. I also already disabled the PC's energy saving options and the options to disable the gigabit net to save energy. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it thanks :

Windows reducing ethernet speed and connection issues

Windows keeps resetting the network speed to 100mbps. When I set the speed to "1.0 Gbps full duplex" after a short period there are connectivity issues - the network cuts out and turns back on a few times, then comes back on with the speed reduced to 100mbps.

Using a tplink pcie gigabit network card [with latest drivers] (custom built machine), cat8 cable and gigabit network switch. This is not a hardware issue.

Before I installed the network card and used onboard ethernet, network would just cut out completely and say "network cable uplugged". I have none of these problems when booting into linux.

I would like to draw to your attention that after Windows 10 Pro 64Bit 2004 September updates, I encountered problem in reducing the Ethernet Adapter Speed from 1.0GB to 100MB (Ethernet Properties – Networking Configuration); resulting reduction in
Internet Bandwidth Speed to comply with the Ethernet Adapter speed reduction!



To temporally resolve this issue, I restored my PCs to July Updates, and PAUSED FUTURE UPDATES, in order to make the best use of maximum benefit of Internet speed subscription, until Microsoft resolve this issue.

Ethernet speed capped at 100 Mbps

I have a Lenovo Legion T5 28IMB05, and my Ethernet connection is capped at 100 Mbps.

Things I have already tried and didn't work:

• Switch to another cable. Originally, I had a CAT5e and as my speed was capped, I bought a CAT6. It didn't help (though I'm still using it)
  
• Force the driver to use 1000 Mbps full duplex
  
• Try my cable and router with another PC. It works
  
• Try to boot from a live USB running Ubuntu 21.10. It also didn't reach full speed
  

The funny thing is that if a plug a USB Ethernet adapter (TP-link UE330), it reaches gigabit speeds with that cable and router; and then if I reconnect the cable to the Ethernet port on my PC, IT WORKS at gigabit speeds for as long as I have the PC turned on. When I restart, it goes back to 100 Mbps.

As of course, I prefer not to have to depend on a USB dongle to reach full speed on my network, what can I do?
