Windows 10: Ethernet stopped working but the house internet is working completely fine.

Hello, really hoping you can help me out hereYesterday I was setting up a OneDrive account when I lost internet connection half way through the first file upload. Since then I have no ability to use internet through ethernet on my computer. I use an Ethernet connection and have tried multiple cables that work of other devices and it is only when plugged into my computer that it doesn't provide internet. When i plug in a wifi adapter my internet works, but i cannot seem to get the ethernet cables to work the "Get help" diagnostics shows no problems and i have the connected by ethernet symbol in

Internet randomly stops working on PC (works fine on other devices)

So it just happens 100% random out of no where and I get this error:

(note i ripped this image off google but this is the exact thing that happens)




so I found TWO temporary fixes.

One: unplug router / modem for 10 sec and replug

Two: Go to the network settings and disable the ethernet (note I am connected via ethernet cable, 100% wired)




disable it

Enable it BUT i have to enable it about 30 times before it enables.

When it's enabling, it doesn't enable, it shows the message that it's enabling and I refresh the background and it's still disabled. I have to keep enabling until it randomly works (if anyone knows why I have to keep enabling it 30 times for it to actually enable please let me know)


why does my internet randomly stop on my PC? it works fine on other devices while its not working on my PC and it takes forever to enable the ethernet after i disable it.

 

ETHERNET NOT WORKING - WIfi works fine .

Recently I brought and built a computer. We have ultra-fast fibre internet and I recently tried to connect an Ethernet cable to this and is doesn’t work.

I get “Unidentified network“ and “no internet” next to the Ethernet logo, with the yellow triangle after pluggin the cable in.

My desktop connects absolutely fine to the wifi through a wireless adapter when I put this in the desktop but it doesn’t through the Ethernet cable.

The Ethernet cable works absolutely fine on other devices as well and we have tried every port of the modem for both the desktop and other devices. It works in every port for other devices and none on the computer,
hence it must not be a problem with the modem.

I have also updated the Ethernet driver and it says it up to date also.

Any help or steps to solve all of this would be greatly appreciated !

ethernet adapter stopped working?

Good Idea tried it and reset the bios with no result. It's like the ethernet adapter just stopped existing. When the cord is plugged in it glows yellow so it has power it just won't work. I'm using the usb pug now but it's BS to keep a motherboard you payed 179.00 when it doesn't work like it is supposed to. I typed Gigabyte tech support and I might have to RMA. That would suck since they have no advanced RMA. It was working fine until I took my motherboard out to put my Thermalright Ultima back on my CPU, put back together and it just stopped working WTF.
