Windows 10: Ethernet, Wifi Cards and Powerline Adapter not connecting/working

Recently, i built a new computer and downloaded windows 11 onto it via USB Flash Drive. However, immediate issues quickly came and was forced to persist with an offline installation of Windows 11. Now Windows Works im still having trouble connecting to internet. I have tried ethernet, powerline adapters, extenders, wifi cards. And all of these say Connected and secured but no connection works. There has been only two instances where i connected successfully to the Wifi and Ethernet but after ShutDown, the problem came back. Powerline Ethernet adapter?

Hey guys, has anyone used something like this? I've never even heard of powerline ethernet adapters before today, but if it does work, then it would definitely be something I'm interested in!

Tenda AV1000 Powerline Adapter not appearing as available to join

If your Tenda AV1000 Powerline Adapter is not appearing as available to join on your Windows 11 PC, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:



1. Ensure physical connectivity: Double-check that both powerline adapters are properly connected to the electrical outlets and that the Ethernet cables are securely plugged into both the adapters and your PC.



2. Verify powerline connectivity: Confirm that the Tenda powerline adapters are successfully establishing a connection between each other. Check if the green lights on both adapters remain solid, indicating a stable powerline connection.



3. Reboot all devices: Restart your PC, router, and both powerline adapters. Power off each device, wait for a few seconds, and then power them back on in the following order: router, powerline adapters, and finally, your PC.

4. Reset the Tenda powerline adapters: Perform a factory reset on both the AV1000 and AV200 adapters. Usually, there is a reset button on each adapter that you can press and hold for a few seconds until the lights start flashing or the adapter resets.

5. Update adapter firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Tenda powerline adapters. Visit the Tenda support website and download the latest firmware if applicable. Follow the instructions provided by Tenda to update the firmware on both adapters.

6. Disable security software temporarily: Temporarily disable any security software (firewalls, antivirus programs) on your PC and check if the Tenda adapters appear as available networks. Sometimes, security software can interfere with network discovery.

Disclaimer: Follow these steps to temporarily turn off real-time Microsoft Defender antivirus protection in Windows Security. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once issue fixed.

7. Contact Tenda support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, reach out to Tenda customer support for further assistance. They may have additional troubleshooting steps specific to your model and network configuration.

Make sure that your powerline adapters are on the same electrical circuit. If they are not, they may not be able to communicate with each other.

Try to pair your powerline adapters again by using the Pair/Reset button on each adapter. Hold down the button for 1 second on one adapter, and then do the same on the other adapter within 2 minutes. The PLC LED indicator should light up and stay on when they are paired successfully.

If none of these step's work, you may need to reset your network adapter from the Settings app or the Control Panel. This will delete all your network settings and restore them to default. You will need to reconnect to your network and enter your password again after resetting.

Powerline Ethernet adapter?



This is a nice little video covering Powerline networking vs. wireless vs. ethernet. It is a great alternative to wireless for sure, but not as nice as an actual direct ethernet connection.
