  1. Ethernet won't connect unless it's DHCP/Dynamic IP (March 2020 update)

So, yeah I updated, and suddenly the static IP address I was using refuses to connect, and when I troubleshoot it, Windows just tells me to enable DHCP, which hilariously enough is the opposite of what I want to do. I don't imagine they just decided to remove static IPs since I can still type in all the stuff.

Ethernet won't connect fully to network, wifi dongle works instantly

That's what I would suggest, connect to the Router.

Open command line, type IPCONFIG /Release
    IPCONFIG /Renew

That will release and renew your DHCP licenses. If the DHCP service on your router isn't working (which isn't likely), then you won't pick up an address, but you said you put in a static IP address for your subnet so that would resolve that issue really.

You said you tried another cable, but are you sure it's a known good cable? Can you test with a laptop to your switch to verify? Have you tried connecting another device to the Ethernet part of your network to see if DHCP and network connectivity is resolving? If it does, then that brings you back to your NIC hardware.

  3. DHCP PC's are not getting an IP unless i release/renew

Several of the PC's in my network are showing limited connectivity and will not grab an IP address unless i release/renew. A restart does not resolve either. Here is a txt output from one of the PC's. The address

  4. Ethernet won't connect unless it's DHCP/Dynamic IP (March 2020 update)

No internet connection unless I renew the IP address.

    Hi Alessandro,

Changing TCP/IP settings to Automatic (DHCP) is one of the possible solutions to resolve the issue. Click this
article, then follow the steps on
To enable DHCP or change other TCP/IP settings (Windows 10) section.

Note: Under Edit IP settings, select Automatic (DHCP).

If the issue still persists, we suggest following the possible solution in this
    article
. Follow the steps on Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands and
Use network reset to reinstall network devices section.

Keep us in the loop with the result.
