Windows 10: Ethernet won't work after installing Hyper-V

Hello,I installed Hyper-V, and set up a virtual machine, but after I shut it down, I noticed my internet doesn't work. I looked at task manager, and it didn't detect the network card. I looked at device manager, and it said my card under network adapters, but it had a warning sign. I got into properties, and it said: "Windows is still setting up the class configuration for this device.Code 56". I tried uninstall device, and rebooting, I tried resetting network settings, I tried uninstalling Hyper-V, but it still didn't work.My network card is a Realtek PCIe card, and I'm on Windows 10.Hope s

Hyper V

Hyper-V is either installed or not installed. It cannot be disabled.

After I was done experimenting with Hyper-V I deleted my VM and uninstalled Hyper-V. Poof, gone.

Hyper-V worked fine for me, but I still prefer VMWare. Hyper-V works best with Ethernet; it's trickier with WiFi.

 

Windows 10 Pro Hyper-V Ethernet Adapter Driver Corrupted

On my windows 10 pro OS the Hyper-V Ethernet adapter has disappeared form the network adapters listing and in device manager, the Hyper-V Ethernet Adapter is showing error, cannot start message, corrupted driver. Tried updating the driver, but windows
reports the driver install is corrupted. How do I repair the driver? Tom J

UPDATE: While doing some additional research on whether or not I would need to change the default location(s) for the VMs, I realized that I can store each VM in different location and don’t need to keep them all in one place. Never knew that. So I won’t need to move the existing ones after all. I can simply store any new VMs on another drive where there is more space. There is always something new to learn.
