Removing programs from old Windows 7 laptop

Rather than attempting to figure out which applications might connect to the Internet, why not just not connect to the Internet in the first place.

If you have typically connected by wi-fi, click Start, type Network Sharing in the Search box, and press Enter. Click "Manage wireless networks" in the right side of the Network and Sharing Center window. In the next window, select each wireless network
and then click "Remove." See steps 2-4 here:

If you like, you can also disable your network adapters, both Ethernet and wi-fi.

1. Open Device Manager (click Start, type Device Manager in the Search box, and press Enter).
2. Double-click "Network adapters" to expand the category.
