Windows 10: Event 1000 Application Error Faulting Application Name: attrib.exe

Since there is nothing scheduled that would cause an application error this must be related to an Auto-update from an application or game. Try to disable Auto-Update for the relevantly updated applications at that time.

1st Make sure every update to the operating system has been installed and none failed.
2nd If you have other software that might cause this error it is advised to run a Malware Scan just to be sure nothing has corrupted your files.

 

i have tried everything still no luck, i just wished i knew how to fix it. Uninstalling the games doesn't fix it, re-installing does fix it either. Malware scans all passed. Looks like i gotta do a format.

The funny thing is yesterday i did a windows cleanup and the error stopped popping up so frequently. Also when i run a windows virus scan the error stops popping up and starts again after scan is finished

 

Now thats a weird activity, if you are only using the built in Windows Defender to scan, I would advise to use Malwarebytes for a full scan (might take up to 1hr) to see if it really is something.

i think malwarebytes fixed the issue it found a Trojan.Agent.SVC "svchost,exe

i did a restart after and no more errors in the event viewer, another strange thing happened all the information got renamed to classic. And found on strange entry

Thats absolutely fine, just run MBAM once more and check for windows updates and it should turn back to normal after a few restarts (Shut down and power on after a few minutes).

Edit:
It might just be that the view has been reset try this to restore the default look:

right click where it says Level, select Add/Remove columns, click on the button, Restore Defaults, then OK.

 

Thanks i reset to defaults and it went back to normal in regards to event 1530 is that all good?

 

Yes it is absolutely fine, it is just a handle that says that the registry has been edited by the user

Great to hear that it got solved, make sure if you often install applications do a scan with MBAM or any antivirus that you trust. So that no more problems could affect your system.
