Windows 10: Event 41 Kernel Power crash - bugcheck code 278

Hi,I wonder if someone could help me resolve an issue that has been annoying me for some time now. My desktop computer windows 10 is suddenly freezes and crash > restart. This behaviour started while gaming but weirdly happens when making music or using other software. After I read some articles about this crash the Event Viewer shows this critical error as event 41 Kernel Power crash, bug check code 278 which indicate that the culprit might be the GPU - in my case GTX 1650, but I cannot resolve this at all. What I tried so far:- updating nvidia drivers- reinstall the nvidia drivers us

Kernel power Event ID-41 (Bugcheck code 278)

Hi,

I have been getting the kernel power Event ID 41 issue for 2-3 months but i have not been able to find a possible fix for it. I checked the Bugcheck code reference from:

The Bugcheck code shows that it is a video_tdr_failure issue. I'm not sure what could be causing the issue nor do I know what is the thing I should do to fix it.

I've already tried several fixes like:

1. A clean installation of windows
   
2. Disabled all kinds of OC
   
3. Updated bios to the latest version
   
4. Updated GPU driver to the latest version
   
5. Checked for windows integrity violations using cmd
   

Unfortunately, none of them have worked.

My PC specs:-

Prcoessor-Intel i5 11400f

GPU-Inno3d rtx 2060

Power supply-Deepcool PF650

Ram-Adata XPG D30 8gb 3200mhz X 2

Motherboard- Msi h510m-a-pro

This error mostly occurs when I am watching a video, live streaming on discord or listening to songs on Spotify. Never happens while gaming.

I'd be very thankful if you could provide a suitable fix for the problem as it's really annoying.

1. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC, prior to this issue?
   
2. Is this issue specific while playing a particular game?
   
3. Which edition of Windows are you currently using?
   

A Kernel Power Event 41 can occur in the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: The computer restarts, and there is a Stop error BugcheckCode in the event data.

Scenario 2: The computer is shut down by pressing and holding the power button.

Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang).

I suggest you refer the article on Kernel
Power Event ID 41 and follow the steps for the scenario that is causing this error on your PC.

Additionally, you can refer the article on Windows
Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows
and check if that helps.

Kernel-Power Error 41 Bugcheck Code 278

So when I generated this error, it went straight to a BSOD and got stuck there at 100%

I waited for a while and when it didn’t auto restart, I hard restarted it again

As for Kaspersky, I didn't have it installed before today. I installed it just to do a system scan earlier this evening

I had a question regarding the bugcheckcode 278 that was getting generated with the Kernel-Power event

I couldn't find anything that helped me with that anywhere

And that bugcheckcode has been constant whenever the system crashed these past few days, multiple times a day
