Windows 10: Event 4502 WinREAgent

Hi. PC:13900K stock2x16 GB DDR5 GSKILL 6800Rtx 4090 Gigabyte GamingAorus Elite Z790 AXSSD KINGSTON 2TBSeasonic 1300W PX ATX 3.0 PCIE 5.Windows 11Today at 9 p.m i saw error in event logs.Ive noticed an Event 4502 Critical 'Windows Recovery Environment. WinREAgent showed as critical. Pc working normally. But should i check disk? It happened once. Thanks

Event 4502 WinREAgent after Windows Update

Ive noticed an Event 4502 (Critical) 'Windows Recovery Environment servicing failed' being logged after the last couple of Windows Updates.

The PC seems to update and run OK, a recovery partition is visible in Disk Management, reagentrc /info shows it enabled and disable/enable runs without error.

Microsoft indicate if Windows is running correctly and not problems are encountered then you should ignore errors seen in the Event Viewer, Windows is designed to automatically recover from those errors without the user even being aware they happened, and even a newly installed clean version of Windows will be producing errors and events in the Event Viewer.

The event is severity Critical and isnt one of the frequent "background" events that we're all used to seeing - its quite specific and new.

I posted in case others have the same issue and hoping someone actually familiar with Windows Update can confirm that the recovery image was likely updated OK during the update - in which case classifying the error as Critical should be revised.
