  1. Event Critical Kernel-Power Error Event ID 41 Task Category 63

Hello. It's been a week since this error has existed in my PC. To be specific, it started happening when I plugged in a USB Bluetooth Receiver into my PC. Ever since then, whenever I am playing any games, my PC would go black screen for a split second and then restart on its own, however when my PC is idle, everything is fine. I have removed the USB device from my PC but it keeps on happening. My BIOS and graphic driver's version are up-to-date. What I've done:- Deactived fast boot- Deactived C-State in BIOS- Stress-tested my PC for 30 minutes, my PC was fine and nothing happened- Reset my BIO

    :)

  2. Critical Kernel-Power event (event ID 41, Task Category (63))

    Hi TheMadDog52,

Thanks for sharing the Event Viewer Logs.

Event Viewer logs indicates Event ID 41: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first". This event indicates that some unexpected activity prevented Windows from shutting down correctly. Such a shutdown might be caused by an interruption in the power supply or by a Stop error.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/...

Since BugcheckCode and PowerButtonTimestamp values are zero as mentioned below:

    BugcheckCode 0

    BugcheckParameter1 0x0

    BugcheckParameter2 0x0

    BugcheckParameter3 0x0

    BugcheckParameter4 0x0

    SleepInProgress 0

    PowerButtonTimestamp 0

    BootAppStatus 0

    Checkpoint 0

This behavior might indicate a power supply problem. If the power to a computer is interrupted, the computer might shut down without generating a Stop error.

To help isolate the problem, do the following steps:

    Disable Fast Startup:

    https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-wind...

Disable overclocking. If the computer has overclocking enabled, disable it. Verify that the issue occurs when the system runs at the correct speed.

Check the memory. Use a memory checker to determine the memory health and configuration. Verify that all memory chips run at the same speed and that every chip is configured correctly in the system.

You can test the RAM with the free utility MemTest86, then run a full 8 pass scan to test your RAM for physical errors:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/14201-memte...

Check the power supply. Verify that the power supply has enough wattage to appropriately handle the installed devices.

Check for overheating. Examine the internal temperature of the hardware and check for any overheating components.

  3. Event ID 41 Task Category 63

If i get no BSODs, no errors, no events logged in event viewer apart from kernel power 41 (63), not even the windows did not shut down successfully screen (don't know if that is still in windows 10), and the computer just turns off and a few seconds later it turns back on, is it safe to assume that it is the power supply and not the motherboard? Because I have heard that this can be caused by the motherboard. Also when this happens, is it harmful for the rest of the hardware?
