Windows 10: Event ID 131 - Metadata Staging Failure.

Hello,I have been running into an Event ID 131 error since the beginning of the month.I have already tried updating Windows, updating AMD Drivers, sfc /scannow, DISM, and any of the other common "solutions" that are listed online.I've also changed the DeviceMetadataServiceURL inside the registry from "https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252669&clcid=0x409" to the direct link of "http://dmd.metaservices.microsoft.com/dms/metadata.svc" neither of those solutions worked either.I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious but its making it very difficult to play any sort of game on m

You didn't understand me, I'm using Windows 10 Professional 64bit, on which I have VMware Workstation installed (Forget I mentioned VMware, my OS is Windows 10 Pro 64bit)

Anyway, your way didn't work and the errors keep getting logged in the Event Viewer

Do you have any other suggestions on how to fix this error (Metadata staging failed, for Event ID:131) ?

Piggybacking on this thread, this is happening more and more for me as well months after this report.

373 events, ID 131 - DeviceSetupManager

Every day several, looks like right after boot.

Examples:

Metadata staging failed, result=0x80070490 for container '{FF230B18-AC03-5A40-870E-3D9A4B6F5C78}'

Metadata staging failed, result=0x80070490 for container '{D397268A-724C-B4EF-D641-C9234BA2948B}'

Metadata staging failed, result=0x80070490 for container '{00000000-0000-0000-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF}'

I check registrty DeviceMetadataServiceURL and found this URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252669&clcid=0x409 , but URL redirect me to

http://dmd.metaservices.microsoft.com/metadata.svc with status Error 502 Bad Gateway
