Hi, thank you for reading. I found this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/comments/mw09cz/application_popup_event_id_56_issue/ and attempted the c-state and power loading tweaks but no luck. Also found this article: https://ugetfix.com/ask/how-to-fix-event-id-56-application-popup-error-in-windows/ and did everything but update BIOS since I currently have the most recent BIOS already. Checked ram, removed drivers with DDU in safe mode and added them back fresh, not really sure what else to try here. The game that consistently causes this crash is called Splitgate if that may help

Are you still getting the event ID 56 error after the re-installation of the OS?

I get this error on every startup:

The description for Event ID 56 from source Application Popup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

I read it was "power loading" so I tried setting it in BIOS (latest) to auto, enabled and disabled. None of those options resolved the error. I have a Gigabyte Aorus z690 Xtreme motherboard. 1000W power supply.

Windows 10 Event ID 56

The only decision that remains with me is if a certain BIOS version were to come out from Gigabyte (that fixes the event ID 56 error), should I even bother flashing it since the error is not causing any problems from me?

I've never flashed BIOS before (afraid to too!) and read that if you have no problems, you should avoid doing it. What is your take on it Christopher?

Although I like the idea of having the "dual bios" thing on my MB.
