Hi Really Smart People -I purchased a new dell win11 laptop in March 2023 and it's been crashing, freezing and generally running like doggie poopie. I did a reinstall of Win11 with no improvement and upgraded to Pro - again without results. I've been on with Dell 7 times and they tell me they have run every diagnostic at their disposal try not to laugh - and came to the conclusion it's software - and told me that they have no responsibility to fix it. II've attached links to the minidump files two of them for you to take a look. If you need the error logs let me know.https://1drv.ms/u/s!A

  2. Kernel-Power event id 41. BugcheckCode 0

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In-order to get more clarity on this issue and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, reply with answers to the below questions:

    1. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC, prior to this issue?
    2. Is this issue specific while playing a particular game?
    3. Which edition of Windows are you currently using?

A Kernel Power Event 41 can occur in the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: The computer restarts, and there is a Stop error BugcheckCode in the event data.

Scenario 2: The computer is shut down by pressing and holding the power button.

Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang).

I suggest you refer the article on Kernel
    Power Event ID 41
and follow the steps for the scenario that is causing this error on your PC.

Additionally, you can refer the article on Windows
Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows

    and check if that helps.

  3. Kernel-General Event ID 12 Triggers Event ID 41

Seems you have some drivers incompatible with Windows 11. At least fingerprint driver cannot be installed. I may suppose your PC is not fully compatible with Windows 11. Please ask PC manufacturer for a clarification.

P.S. Kernel-General Event ID 12 is just a registration of system start up time.

Getting Windows Server VM restarted unexpectedly with Event Kernel-general ID 16

    Hello all,

I'm working on Vmware VCenter and i have Windows Server VM in each Vsphere. In one of these Vsphere, we noted that VMs restarted unexpectedly and we got the Event kernel-General with the ID 16 when we access to the MS windows event viewer.

The following capture shows some details about the Event ID.

We really want to know the reason of this unexpected restart and if it is related to the VM system itself or is related to the Vsphere node. We verified logs, alerts and health status informations reported by the Vsphere and we dont have any thing suspecious.

Another thing to note, we tried to migrate some VMs to the others nodes (Vsphere) of the Vcenter and we noted that this error is reported only on VMs on the mentioned node.

Thank you for your further help.

    Best Regards
