Discus and support Event Viewer Errors 131+122 DeviceSetupManager in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; HI. I'm getting swamped with event id 122 and 131.     Event Viewer Errors 131+122 DeviceSetupManager


    HI.

    I'm getting swamped with event id 122 and 131.

    My gpedit.msc policy of "Prevent installation of devices not described by other policy settings" is set to "not configured"
    and "Turn off Windows Updated device driver searching" is set to Disabled.

    Under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Device Metadata]
    I have "DeviceMetadataServiceURL"="http://dmd.metaservices.microsoft.com/dms/metadata.svc"

    So all should be correct, right?


    I have no idea why I'm getting this.

    Windows 10 Event Viewer

    Running Windows 10 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram and I discovered that the event viewer has thousands of warnings and errors listed. PC is crashing periodically with error saying low on memory.

    Example:

    EVENT LOG running Windows 10

    I get MULTIPLE 'ERROR' for DeviceSetupManager code #131... AND also spaced out between these "ERROR"(s) are the following 'WARNING'(s)

    1) rt640X64 Code 1

    2) i8042pt Code 18

    3) DNS Client Events Code 1014

    What is my problem?
