Windows 10: Event Warning 10016

Hi, I'm running Windows 11 OS Build 22000.348 and i've clean installed it from Windows 10 but i've started to receive this warning in event log The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and APPID {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402} to the user Pz-DESKTOP\a_lex SID S-1-5-21-1173407058-3351087823-1883602890-1001 from address LocalHost Using LRPC running in the application container MicrosoftWindows.Client.WebExperience_421.20045.455.0_x64__cw5n1h2txyewy SID

Why Certain DCOM 10016 Events Don't Matter

EdTittel and all here - many thanks for your posts. Just this Sunday, I upgraded my Win 10 Pro 1803 to 1903 (with a brief stop at 1809), and last night started getting these 10016 errors - those CLSID and AppID numbers exactly.

In the past, I have changed settings in DCOM. But, for now, for this CLSID and AppID, I shall no nothing.

However ... they seemed to start this time after TWO CHANGES:

1. I fixed a different Event 10016 event warning in an unusual way by changing its Service start in Registry -- see
   Event ID 10016, DistributedCOM Windows.SecurityCenter.WscBrokerManager
2. I installed yesterday's GiveAwayOfTheDay free version of AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional Edition 8.2.

So, are these two changes triggering the Event 10016 Warnings described here Or are they inherent to Win 10?

Event ID 10016, CLSID and APPID

Hey, I've been trying to resolve this same dcom issue myself, and I followed the steps you listed @FreeBooter, but when I try to do the last step, I firstly when clicking "edit" get a message saying



And then when I do enter the menu after clicking "ok" on that dialog box, the add button is greyed out.

I'm 100% certain I followed all the steps correctly. I triple-checked it. But no dice...
