Windows 10: Ever since I updated to Windows 10 Beta, most screenshare applications fail to capture audio.

Recently, I updated to Windows 10 21277.1000 to fix an issue with Alt + Tabbing that was cleared in beta. However, ever since then, my screenshare audio has not been working in many websites and applications. This includes Skype, Discord Canary, PTB, and Stable, Chrome, Edge, Firefox. I would downgrade but it's too late for me to do that without losing files. I reinstalled my audio drivers multiple time. I messed with application settings. I changed audio devices. Nothing seemed to work and since it's global, I guess it was a windows issue. I asked about this on r/Discordapp on Reddit, and it seems like it isn't just me. Is there any fix to this? I would try updating my beta version, but after that newfound issue I don't know if I should. Maybe it was fixed in a new beta version? Thank you in advance.

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

• Do you get any error message? If yes, what is the error message?

If the issue is pertaining to only this software, then I suggest that you check for updates/patches for this application and install them. If there are no patches/updates yet available for Windows 10 in the software manufacturer's
website, then I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Software in Windows 7/8 compatibility mode.

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
