Windows 10: Every few weeks mic will blast a static noise at max volume. The device will also turn off...

I am at a complete loss as to how I can solve this issue. I have seen numerous threads regarding this issue and it seems to be the same as mine, but most of the time the person asking the question fails to get an answer that solves the issue, and I will link some of them below. Another thing that occurs is what my mic will disconnect and reconnect briefly, which means that the buzzing will occur in the next few minutes although sometimes it will just start producing the loud static without any disconnections. built in mic - static noise suddenly a problem.

I use my built in mic a lot for meetings and training recordings. Yesterday I was working on some new training materials and began recording with the built in mic and my recording all started to have a static noise come through that's never been an issue
before. My recording from just two days ago are great so I'm not sure what has happened/changed since.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've tried the troubleshooting through device manager already and using noise suppression and neither have helped at all.

Based on this edited response. Yes, the static noise is because of the built-in MIC.

Have you tried my suggestions to see if it helps.

Win 10 PRO 64 Mic not working/ static or digital noise

Hi!

I have been having mic issues where its always in the red. I used "voice recorder" and its either static or a digital noise sound, kinda like an old dial up modem.

I tried all the suggested troubleshooting options and nothing worked.

I was messing around in Sound options and under mic, the default sample rate and bit depth was set to 32 bit, 44100 Hz.

I changed it to 16 bit, 19200 Hz and no more static or "digital noise". I can hear myself and it works like it used too.

Control Panel > Sound > Recording > Properties > Advanced. Change to a lower bit rate.

Did anyone else encounter this problem?
