Every time I accidentally click on an "ad" while clicking through the headlines, I get a security alert and a bunch of rando messages. Anyone else have issues with this???? How can we stop this as it downgrades the value and desire to read MSN headlines.

Trouble with MSN. When I click a headline or an image for more on the subject I am taken to another page of headlines. No mention of the topic at hand. Anyone else?? Keith

Thanks for getting back.

Addressing your comments in order:

When I open MSN I am presented with a page of news items (headlines). I assume these are the most current. If I click on any of them, instead of being taken to an expansion of that story, I am taken to another page of headlines which is similar but different from the first page. The same result would occur if I chose a headline from that second page, i.e. I could be taken to a third, similar page. And on, endlessly.

Yes, I am using EDGE but I have tried several other browsers with the same result.

I'll be trying your other suggestions soon and will let you know the result.

I suggest you to run the System Maintenance troubleshooter by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the top left pane.
• From the list click on System Maintenance and follow the on screen prompts.
