Every time I boot up I have to manually connect to WIFI Windows 10

Recently windows 10 will not connect to my WIFI unless I manually do it.

Even then it may not connect properly.
And sometimes after that the connection drops a few minutes after.

I have tried uninstalling my devices and reinstalling them,

I have unchecked the box next to "allow this computer to turn off the device to save power"

in Power management but this setting does not get saved at all.

It always defaults to being checked again when I boot up

Also when I connect It sometimes says "Secured" but not Connected on the popup

from the internet device icon down on the lower right.

I have to disconnect and then UNCLICK the box next to "Automatically connect"

    And connect manually.

Then it will connect and say "Connected, Secured." But not always.

I may have to do it a second time to actually connect.

And after all that I often have the connection dropped after a few minutes.

I have also noticed that the " Connect automatically when in range' box always turns OFF and does not save it when turn it back on

Win 10 won't connect to wifi on boot-up

I'm running Windows 10, 64-bit, version 1607. When I boot up the system, it doesn't connect to my home network even though I have previously configured the wifi to connecct automatically. I see my network on the list of available networks, but when I try to connect manually, I get a message "can't connect to this network." I then run the Windows wifi troubleshooter, and the repair is successful: I can then use wifi until I shut down the system. But next time I reboot, the same thing happens. Airplane mode is OFF. My home network works normally with other devices, including another laptop running Windows 10 64 bit version 1607. Can anyone help?

Is it possible to set up a new manual wifi connection from the command line?

I'm trying to work out a solution to set up ad-hock wifi connections in Windows 8.1 based on the suggestions in a post on Micsrosoft's answers site. Is there any way to do the first few steps:

    • go to "Network and Sharing Center"
    • click "Set up a new connection or network"
    • double click "Manually connect to a wireless network"
    • enter the SSID of the ad-hoc network (as shown by "netsh wlan show networks") into the "Network name" field
    • configure security settings accordingly
    • uncheck "Start this connection automatically" (important)

    ...without using the windows dialogs?

Can't connect to wifi after Windows Update

I tried all the steps you suggested, but those steps did not fix it.

Then I tried the clean boot for, by disabling everything in startup and disabling all services in system configuration. Upon restarting, my wifi features actually worked. I could connect to wifi, like I was supposed to.

But then when I followed the steps listed to isolate the service that may be causing the problem, by systematically starting the services and restarting each time, to find out which one results in disabling my wifi connection, my wifi connection hasn't returned,
even after disabling every service again. I have tried repeatedly to recreate the conditions that resulted in my wifi connection working that first time that I tried the clean boot, but I have been unable to do so. Now, even with all services disabled, it
still can't connect to wifi. I don't know why it worked that one time, but hasn't worked since, even though I've tried disabling all services again, just like I did that first time.
