Windows 10: every time I go to defrag C:\ drive I get it showing 6% fragmentation

Hi there folks,

Wondering if any one can help by pointing me in the direction of steps to resolve or troubleshoot a new issue? I restored my pc today, had originally upgrade from Windows 8 Home to Windows 10 Home, then reset using USB drive. Completely wiped C: drive for fresh install using USB stick. After setting up, every time I go to defrag C:\ drive I get it showing 6% fragmentation. Have rebooted a couple of times and ran SFC, to no avail. Still shows C drive 6% fragmented. It did start at 11% earlier in the day, and after a few runs, will now not go any lower.

Cannot defrag all my drives

When I go to defrag my Drives on windows 10 The defrag and Optimize will not defrag Volume (d064.... and it shows that it's 15% fragmented. How can I get this to Optimize?

 

I have to defragment local disk C every day. What can I do for resolving this problem.

Original Title: Fragmented Local Disk C.

I had Windows 7 before that every week had %2 fragmented local disk C. But, after that I have instelled Windows 10, I have %6 fragment disk every day.

Certain files such as those currently in use and certain operating system files can't be moved.

 

Usually it is system restore files, hibernation or pagefile. Those should be temporarily disabled before a full defrag.
