Windows 10: Every time I open a new app, the previously closed apps' overlays keep reappearing.

Hello, I've been experiencing this issue for around 6 months now. Even after closing the app, it continues to be displayed in the background whenever I open another application, causing a significant slowdown on my PC. Despite updating both Windows and the graphics driver, none of these attempts seem to have resolved the problem.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

News app opens and closes automatically

  Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

  As above, if this reports problems that cannot be fixed, stop here. There may be a memory or hard drive issue.

  Now enter the below command in Command prompt (admin) prompt.
  
  PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted

  Now enter the below command and hit Enter key.
  
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

CNN App Opens and Then Closes

Of late, the CNN app opens but closes after selecting the news story I wish to read. This is occurring on my phone as well as my wife's. We have tried rebooting and also reinstalling the CNN app but the behavior is still noted. We both use the Nokia
822 and don't see this issue with other apps at the present time. Since CNN is my favorite news app, I would love to get this remedied. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
