Windows 10: Every time I open a program with Microsoft C++ I am prompted to Modify setup

I am trying to use Microsoft C++ 2015-2019 to run a game emulator on my PC. However every time I open the program, I am prompted to modify setup of C++. My only options are to "repair" or "uninstall" I click "repair" it comes up with "setup successful, you must restart your computer before you can use the software". Once I restart my PC and attempt to open the program, I once again prompted with the modify setup tab. If I uninstall and reinstall C++ it still does the same thing. After doing some research I have already tried: clearing temp files on my pc, resetting the Winsock Catalog and disa

Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 (KB3119142) getting installed multiple times on Windows 10

This made the trick

• • In Control Panel, click Uninstall a program in the Programs group.
  • In the programs list, locate Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (X64) - 11.0.61030 or
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (X86) - 11.0.61030, depending on your system architecture.
  • Right-click the entry name, and then click Change.
  • In the Modify Setup dialog box, click Repair.
  • After the repair process is completed, restart the computer if you are prompted to do this.
  • And do the update

Microsoft Visual 2017 C++ msi wont install.
