Windows 10: Every time I open "Power and Sleep" settings, it always crashes immediately. I was...

Recently , I noticed that I couldn't open "Power and Sleep" settings. I was checking Event Viewer to see what might be the problem, I noticed that "Session "PerfDiag Logger" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035" showed up a few times in the past hour. I have made some changes to my computer that I don't want to disclose, but I did delete and reversed every change made.I tried running SFC , DISM and Windows Security, but all of them showed nothing wrong.

Settings crashing when trying to open 'power and sleep' settings

Hello.

My settings app crashes every time I open the 'power and sleep' settings in windows 11. When I try to open it, it freezes for a second and shows a blue screen before automatically closing and exiting the app. I had run some modification programs, but after the issue started I removed the settings they changed and it still would crash. Is there any way I can fix it without a reset?

Sleep mode saves the state of all open applications to memory, then powers down both the display panel and hard disk drive. However, if it often wakes up from Sleep mode, you need to change the Sleep settings under Power &
sleep. You can also refer this link regarding shutdown, sleep,
or hibernate your PC.

If that doesn’t help, kindly check with the steps listed below and see if it works.

Method 1: Restore default settings of power plan.

Let’s restore the power settings to its default and check if it makes any difference. To do that,

• Go to Control Panel and select Power Options.
  
• Click on Change advanced power settings.
• Select the option Restore default settings for this plan.

Hi,

This may happen due to its power plan. A power plan is a collection of hardware and system settings that manages how computers use and conserve power. For this, we suggest that you reset and restore power plans to its default. kindly follow these steps:

• Open the Command Prompt (Admin).
• Copy and paste the command below into the command prompt, and press
  Enter:
  • powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
• Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your PC to apply the changes.

After that, go to Power & sleep settings
by typing it into the Windows Search. Check the When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after
settings is set to Never.
