    Crash/blue screen

    Hi

I assume from the title of your post Crash/Blue Screen that the PC has crashed and produced a *BSOD=[Blue Screen Of Death] =Blue Screen; and that the PC recovered from this; if and when you see the Blue Screen write the Stop Code down; recover the PC or use one that is working to access the net and look up the Stop Code.

nb: You may be able to view this with a [*BlueScreenView] application, google for this.

Edit Link - Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files.

    Description
    ===========

BlueScreenView scans all your minidump files created during 'blue screen
of death' crashes, and displays the information about all crashes in one
table. For each crash, BlueScreenView displays the minidump filename, the
date/time of the crash, the basic crash information displayed in the blue
screen (Bug Check Code and 4 parameters), and the details of the driver
or module that possibly caused the crash (filename, product name, file
    description, and file version).
For each crash displayed in the upper pane, you can view the details of
the device drivers loaded during the crash in the lower pane.
BlueScreenView also mark the drivers that their addresses found in the
crash stack, so you can easily locate the suspected drivers that possibly
    caused the crash.

  3. Blue Screen when ethernet cable is connected

    Hello there,

my PC crashes every time I connect the Ethernet cable. This happens after starting the PC and about 10 - 15 seconds after my desktop is displayed. And this every time. I did not recognize the error for a long time until I removed the Ethernet cable once and then realized that the PC no longer crashes (blue screen or green screen since I use Win 11 Insider). I recently had a driver problem regarding the Ethernet. I installed the VPN program Surfshark and until then everything worked fine. However, after I uninstalled Surfshark, I noticed that my PC was connecting to the WLAN instead of the LAN, even though an Ethernet cable was connected. I uninstalled the driver from the VPN. After that I still had problems and reinstalled the existing Realtek drivers. A few days everything was fine again, until some days I got the green screens (blue screen) after about 20-30 minutes of using the PC. Currently, as mentioned above, I can no longer leave the Ethernet cable plugged in without my PC crashing directly. I get the following shutdown code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the following error cause: rt68cx21x64.sys. My google search unfortunately yielded nothing. I tried to install the appropriate network/ethernet drivers for my PC, but that didn't work either. I hope that someone here can help me.

    Many greetings

    Ashkan Navid

    Ethernet cable not working.

You need to solve your problem one step at a time, e.g. like so:

    • Connect your CAT5 cable directly to your router. If it does not work, replace the cable.
    • Connect the cable to your TP-Link wall plug. If it does not work, reconfigure or replace the wall plug.
