Windows 10: Every time I try to open Word, a tab comes up and forces it to close. How can I resolve...

"Microsoft Office can't find your license for this application. A repair attempt was unsuccessful or was cancelled. Microsoft Office will now exit." is the message given and it only allows me to press Ok or Help. These either close it down Ok or send me to this questions page Help. I don't know what license it's referring to and so don't know how to solve the problem. No changes had been made to my system, it just started denying me access randomly.

firefox opening all last opened tabs all the time

Hello,

I have noticed my firefox is opening all tabs which were opened when last time i closed..

I have kept home page and blank page both in settings but still it is doing same..opening all opened tab when i start it after closing it.

Please tell me how to fix it.

 

Word opens during boot-up

Thanks for response. I haven't had this problem before. When I close Word it stays closed until now.

Word is not left open on the desktop. When I've finished I close Word then the next time I boot-up it's open on the desktop.

Next time after I use then close Word I will check the End Task list. If listed I will End Task & see if Word is open after next boot-up.

 

How To Force Open Link In Same Tab In Google Chrome

Well perhaps a tab manager would allow you to easily identify and close unwanted tabs as well as providing a list of open tabs that you can click to open. Plus import or export tab lists so that you don't loose them. Anyway that was my line of thinking.

Everywhere I look - it seems that there is no way to override external link handling in Chrome by design.

One thing you can do is use this extension:

Open Link in Same Tab - Chrome Web Store

It does open external links in the same tab but requires a right click to choose option from context menu.
