Every time I update my motherboard BIOS, Windows 11 deactivates and asks me to buy a new...

I changed my motherboard, CPU and RAM recently to this:Intel i5 13600KGigabyte Aorus Z790 Elite AX32GB DDR5 6800 When I changed the motherboard, Windows asked me to reactivate the copy, which is fine, I had to select my previous PC and it transferred.I have since then updated the BIOS twice, which is a very normal operation, and every time Windows 11 is DEACTIVATING and it asks me to activate again. Of course, it does not allow me to select my previous license, it says it has been activated too many times.I was lucky that I could use another license from a laptop I own and my copy got activate

    :)

Updating motherboard bios deactivates Windows 10

Sorry but this is simply pathetic. Just updated bios on my skylake motherboard and my windows 10 got deactivated.... New platform, z170 probably plenty of more bioses to come and every time I update my motherboard I will have to upgrade system all over again
    to make it work.

This is second time it requires from me to do it. Previously I changed partition on my hard drive and again..."windows requires activation".

Does it have to be so dumb that "update" detects as "hardware change". The new system is very poor anyway as I have retail version so why should I upgrade everytime I change anything in my PC.

Why pirates have less problems than people who actually pay for it. Paid for windows 8 retail (upgrade).

Also support on the phone/chat is not helpful at all even though they see what key/upgrades/system you have they just not gonna do anything to help you other than saying "you have to upgrade again"

Updating motherboard bios deactivates Windows 10

I updated the bios on a Gigabyte 2011v3 board W10 would not boot had to go through the update rigmeroll again.Someone I know changed his graphics card and deactivated W10.

This free upgade is worthless if you cant even do the above, after 07 2016 you will have to buy it if it deactivates.

There is no key involved in the free upgrade it is all based on the hwid.

Come on Microsoft do something about the super sensitivity of W10 to minor hardware changes or give everyone who upgraded a Key that they can use to reactivate.

Or offer w7 and w8 users who have a retail edition or oem activation key a chance to buy W10 at a lower price like they did with W8.
