Windows 10: Every time my laptop awakes from sleep, the primary mouse button is switched back from...

Windows 10, Lenovo P51, Logitech Logi wireless mouseYes, windows 10 IS up to dateYes, I tried updating my mouse drivers they were already up to dateYes, I already know how to switch buttons in the settings. Don't explain that to me. The problem is that it gets switched back and does not remember my choice.No, I should not have to edit the windows registry which apparently does not work anywayHow is it that this problem still exists in 2024?

Windows 10 can't configure primary mouse button

I have just upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 on my Lenovo laptop. Before upgrading, I had the inbuilt mouse buttons set so that the right button was the primary button. After upgrading I now find that these buttons are no longer 'switched', although
my touchpad and mouse buttons seem fine in all other respects. I don't need to know how to access 'button configuration'. I have stared at this many times! What I do need to know is why these buttons don't do what I want them to do, even though the 'switch
primary and secondary buttons' box is manifestly checked and (on the alternative mouse settings window), 'Select your primary button' has 'Right' beneath it. Suggestions welcome, particularly if easy to implement. (N.B. Running a check confirmed that the driver
was up to date, and as I said, everything else works!)

Whenever I plug a mouse in my laptop the primary button switches from left to right, and after I go to change it in the settings it changes back on it's own, the problem keeps resetting even
after i close the mouse options immediately. I tried putting it in different USB ports, tried different mouses, changing and removing the drivers didn't help also.

options immediately. I tried putting it in different USB ports, tried different mouses, changing and removing the drivers didn't help also.

I tried running the troubleshooter it detected nothing, and as for the mouse settings I want it to be always on left but it keeps switching back to right and i keep turning it back
to left and as soon as i close the settings menu it turns back to right just for me to repeat everything until it stops doing so.

The problem keeps happening every time I leave the laptop for a few minutes or so.
