  1. Every website I visit withing MS Edge and G Chrome has the "Unsafe content" warning message...

My system had 2 updates yesterday. Prior to today, these warning messages have not been displaying. I have smartscreen enabled on this system #1 that I am having trouble with and my other system #2. I do not have the problem mentioned above on my other system #2.These messages are displaying on legit/ secure websites.I performed a system scan- no viruses or threats found.I am now preforming an offline scan and will check for Microsoft updates once that is complete.I should not have to disable smartscreen in order to correct this problem but disabling smartscreen is the only way so far

Unsafe content on Ebay? Red screen with a shield.

More and more ebay users are having the same complaint. IE11 and Edge SmartScreen Filter are flagging ebay listings as having 'potentially' unsafe content. This started about Sept 28th following a massive Win10 update.

Ebay home page and search pages are not effected, only specific listings. Looks like the problem is something to do with ebay listing pages have 'multiple' URL content. The warning message says "vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com hosted by
www.ebay.com " has the unsafe content. vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com is the portion of the page that the ebay seller places their item description into.

Google Chrome, Firefox, older versions of IE do not exhibit this blocking.

If you turn SmartScreen Filter off, you will be able to see the blocked content (not a good idea to turn this off),

or in the URL bar that is highlighted in pink, click on the "X" in the red shield and the warning message will drop down. At the bottom of that drop down click on "Show Unsafe Content" and then the big red block out will be removed and the item description
will be displayed. But seriously, who will take the trouble to do that?

Second from the bottom choice on that drop down is a link: "Report that this site does not contain threats". It's interesting that when you click on that link the page does not have an option to report that there is no threats. Only choices are :

I think this is a phishing website

    or

I think this website contains malicious software

No option for reporting "This website is Safe" It doesn't make any sense to show a link to report a site as having no threats and then not have that reporting option.

I went to Microsoft support chat. Spoke with a tech and reported the problem. She said she would forward it to appropriate department. Then I got an email from her stating that the issue has been resolved, but it is not resolved.

This is all typical MS mumbo jumbo.

The solution appears to be to start a campaign putting out the word to used Chrome when browsing ebay.

  3. multiple MS Edge & MS Edge Content Process running, memory warning.

As I look at Task Manager, there are 3 separate entries for Microsoft Edge in Task Manager. There also used to be 2 separate MS Edge Content Process. I've started nothing else since I restarted the computer, There was a memory warning saying to close
programs to free up memory, but I've started nothing else but Edge, which has been running for the past 4 hours. I clicked on "End Task" for all MS Edge listings. After a couple of times MS Edge Content Process hasn't returned. Even though I did the same
for all the Edge entries, it's still open, and all MS Edge listings keep returning. 10 minutes later, one 'Edge is using 145.2 MB memory, the 2nd 72.4 MB, and the last is using 18.3 MB memory. At the time of the memory warning 2 of the 'Edge listing were
using approximately 300 MB combined. There's nothing else running except for McAfee Scanner service @ 70 MB, which is even in that neighborhood.

Under the Details tab on Task Manager, Microsoft Edge CP #1 is using 150, 322 k, Microsoft Edge CP #2 is using 73,932 k., Microsoft Edge is using 15,276k.

Why the 3 running MS Edge entries? And why, when I ended them in Task Manager, did Edge not close but stayed onscreen and relaunched? Once I closed them and they relaunched with less memory usage, the memory warning disappeared. Should any browser use
so much memory that it causes a warning?
