Windows 10: Everyday for the last week this "updater" is taking a ton of my daily data, i am on a...

since last week i have been noticing within 1 hour of connecting my mobile data to my pc 1-1.5 GB data just vanishes into this "updater", this is not windows updater i turned it off 3 days ago. i am on a limated data connectin and i am an online student my education depends greatly on my PC , and i have not been able to study for a week.One more thing i have like 2.5GB data on my mobile each day but this updater seems to only take upto 1-1.5 GB , but as soon as i connect another mobile to my pc this updater comes back to life again and take up 75%ish of data of that mobile and goes back to d

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.

 

What Time does Daily backup Start

on Windows 10

I completed backup Setup and everything is working fine.

my questions ,

• if i select backup frequency to be "Daily" then
  what "Time" does Daily backup Start everyday, when will it be triggered?
  
• can i configure the daily backup to start at given hour everyday ? say 4AM ?

We suggest you use Data Sense to manage and limit your data usage. Data Sense will tell you which app is using consuming the most data. Click

Also, you may turn off app backup and messaging sync to reduce data usage. To turn off app backup, follow these steps:

• Navigate to Backup.
• Tap on Settings.
• Tap on Update & Security.
• Tap on Backup, and choose "More options".

You should see something like this. You may disable automatic backups for all apps, or choose apps individually.

Turn turn off sync for Messaging, follow these steps:

• Open the Messaging app.
• Click on the ellipsis ("...") in the bottom part of the menu.
• Click on Settings and turn "Sync messages between devices" off.

You should see something like this.
