Windows 10: Everything freezes up after closing a game and cannot shut down or restart computer.

This issue has only recently started occurring for me and prevents me from interacting with any application window or anything other than some taskbar icons that do not function correctly. I can open the taskbar search but it does not work and I can open the start menu but cannot shut down or restart my computer and have to press a button on my PC. I have an i7 3770, GTX 1650, and 16GB DDR3 RAM if that helps. Please see this video of the problem to understand exactly what occurs. I have tried restarting my PC and turning it off at the wall to no avail.

Random shut down and restart??

Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
E220@2.406hz
2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
Windows xp

Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused *Mad

One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?

 

Game Bar freezes Computer

  What is the model number of the computer?

  Which game are you trying to play?
  
• Try playing other games and check what the status is.

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below methods.

Method 1

I recommend you to uninstall/reinstall the display driver and check. Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Locate for display adapter and click on it to expand.
  
• 
  Right click on the device and click on
  uninstall.
  
• 
  Once you are done uninstalling the driver, restart the computer. It will automatically install the generic display driver.
  

If this doesn’t help to fix the issue. I suggest you to update the display driver. Skip step3 from the above steps and right click on the
device and click on update.

Method 2.

If the above method did not help to fix the issue, I would suggest you to
go to the computer manufacturer website and download the latest display adapter driver. Visit the below link:

Method 3.

For the sound issue try the below steps.

Step 1.

I suggest you to uninstall/reinstall the sound adapter driver and check.

  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.

  Now click on Sound, video and game controllers
  to expand, right click on the device and click on uninstall.
  
• 
  Once you are done installing the driver, restart the computer. It will automatically install the sound adapter driver.
  

If the issue still persist, try the below steps.

Step 2.

I suggest you to update the audio driver and check.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device manager.
  
• Now click on Sound, video and game controllers and right click on it and
  update the software.

games freezing up computer automatically shutting down?

So after the current upgrade to windows 10 build number 14393 everytime I try to play a game it will either freeze or close itself.. and sometimes my computer will just shut down.. I looked up at my core temp and it was ok.. my memory was fine.. but this
has never happened before the upgrade..

any solutions?
