    I cant add pics as attached on this thread. idk why.My main problem is that when I select a window, the rest of the screen is dark/dimmed. I want the entire screen to be lit all the time regardless of which window is selected/highlighted. I do multitasking so it becomes very difficult.     How to dim screen?

    I tried googling Windows Ten, "how to dim screen," but the layout listed is not the layout I have. I just got Ten yesterday. How do you dim the screen?

    I can't even find the options in the Display section.

    My PC screen dims when all applications are minimized

    Hi all,

    I am having a problem on windows 11 desktop PC. My screen dims when my Desktop is highlighted. When a browser, or folder, or any application is opened, the screen brightens up, but when I minimize them or close those apps to see the desktop, the screen gets dim.

    Also, the adaptive brightness setting in windows is already turned off. I have an Nvidia graphics card, and I have checked its settings, and could not find any problem. I would like to point out again that the screen dimming happens only when desktop is highlighted, and when other apps are active, the screen is always bright. Can anyone suggest how to disable this?

    Have read the blogs. Windows 10 needs to make it EASY for people to dim their screen. This is my 3rd Toshiba laptop and it was easy to adjust the screen on all 3 including this one, until windows 10. Will buy a new laptop without Win 10 before I'll go
    through all the steps to dim screen in win 10 that is listed in the blogs I've read. I did stall an APP that helped but screen still hurts my eyes and creates a headache. Anybody have an EASY answer. It was so easy to work with DOS and windows 3.1. It's been
    a pain for a lot of people ever since they came up with the REGISTRY. Thanks people.
