Hello!I've just got a 4k TV with 120hz support. When I change the refresh rate to 120 hz everything turns blurry like texts and so on. I have hdmi 2.1 cable and RTX 4070 so they aren't the problem. What can I do?Thank you for helping!

Easier way to switch monitor resolution and refresh rate. Weird request.

    Hello,

I have a tv that supports 1080p@120hz but not at 4k 120hz. I use this tv as a second monitor and to game on. Before i boot up a game, i will have to go to windows settings, display settings, change resolution to 1080p and then change refresh rate manually to 120hz.

I'm one of those people that will play a game for 45 minutes and alt tab to continue what i was doing on windows, however, windows doesn't look great at 1080p and i switch it back to 4k 60hz, and have to do that several times a day.

Does anyone know of an easier way to change it on the fly? I tried looking for a profile option, but couldn't see anything. Maybe a script that i can assign to a keyboard shortcut?

I'm on windows 11 with an AMD card

  3. Why does my refresh rate change when tabbing into a game from 144hz to 120hz?

The desktop refresh rate of the monitor (a samsung odyssey g7) is set to 144hz. When I tab into a game it changes from 144hz to 120hz. It seems to only be a fullscreen 1440p issue. 4k fullscreen does not change the refresh rate. neither does 1080p. The active resolution does change when tabbing into a game when it is 1440p 144hz. I have set the active resolution and display resolution of the monitor to 2560x1440 and when I tab into a game the screen goes black and the active resolution changes to 3840x2160 but the desktop resolution stays the same.

How to set refresh rate 60Hz on the TV when connected to HDMI?

I've connected my laptop(Windows 10) with the TV using an HDMI cable. The resolution of the laptop is 3840x2160 and the refresh rate 60Hz.

The TV's resolution is automatically set as 3840x2160 also, but the refresh rate shows 30Hz.

I cannot change the refresh rate to a higher rate, because the option is not available.

Now, when I change the resolution of the TV to 1920x1080, I'm able to change the refresh rate to 60Hz.

Why can't I put the resolution as 3840x2160 and the refresh rate at 60Hz for the TV? Does the issue have to do with the HDMI cable, or Windows?

My TV's max refresh rate is 120Hz. Supposedly I should get that option also, but it's not showing there.
