Windows 10: Everything is at 100% through sound settings and I'm still really quiet through my microphone

Hello I recently bought parts to build my pc in November 2022 and everything was running smoothly I thought until I got into a discord call with my friends and even at 200% volume I'm still really quiet for them, even on stream. My desktop audio is nice and loud at just halfway on streamlabs but I have my microphone set to 100% and I'm barely audible. I've tried microphone properties through control panel and that's at 100% as well. It's getting really frustrating because I have no idea what else to do and not sure if it's faulty wiring in the pc since it was built at home by my friend.

Microphone extremely quiet

So for some odd reason, microphone input is really quiet.

I'm using Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming as my board so the microphone is being plugged into that. I've tried putting microphone boost and levels to 100% but the input is still really really quiet, if you're lucky you can hear a whisper if you're shouting down the mic.

I've tested the mic on other devices like my phone and it works fine but for some odd reason my desktop isn't being nice about it.

This is darn annoying and a massive inconvenience.

Things I've tried -
Uninstalled realtek and re-installed the latest driver
Set microphone boost and levels to max
Tested with 'Disable all sound effects' on and off

I'm out of luck at this point and I'm not entirely sure where to go from this. I'd love to get this fixed so some advice/help would be appreciated, thank you.

 

Microphone went REALLY quiet suddenly... help!

Hey! Thanks for replying: Allow apps to access your microphone is already turned on. 1. Troubleshooting all three gave me successes. They are all fine. 2. Microphone I am using is enabled and is the
default device. 3. Microphone is already set up. 4. A. Roll back driver is greyed out. B. Uninstalling the driver and restarting did not work. still have the issue C. Microphone is still really quiet after this step. Help!!

HELP NEEDED

I got a new mic and it was working fine until recently, i got a new mic because of this problem, but it has come back. recently my microphone went really quiet, people can still hear me but i'm having to put my mic virtually in my mouth whilst shouting for
them to hear me. My mic works fine on any other device like my Mac but not on my Windows 10 laptop. I have gone into sound settings and maximized the output not much change really, i've troubleshooted everything, I've reinstalled drivers, I've tried so many
things i'm at a lose, maybe its the Audio jack problem, so i would love any suggestions.
