Everything WAS fine, until today, where I was turning on my PC to play and do some work....

My PC has Windows 11, and it’s updated. However, I turned on my PC, then the worst came, such as a large amount of "corrupted files", and the computer became unusable, because of how unbelievable slow it ran, almost crashed and went through black screens only to open settings! Sometimes it randomly shut off and was NOT overheating at all. My components seems to run ok, but my software didn’t. My PC were loading something I haven’t even opened or touched, turns out it was nothing, but an infinite loading, that made the whole operating system just crash, extremely slow and unusable. My PC strugg

  2. PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    PC Build Steps

1.1 - Ideally put optical in SATA 0, and SSD in SATA 1, this will cause the optical drive to be the default 1st boot option. You can change it manually if not, but I like it this way
    2.infinity - yes, that's fine. if it's above 70 +/- 5 degrees, then it may just need a repaste/remount

Unable to rip music to mp3 (but WMA works fine!)

    Hello,

Windows 10 media player is refusing to rip a CD to MP3. I've tried all the stock suggestions on multiple similar posts:

    • Error correction is turned on for the CD/DVD drive in Media Player.
    • There's a valid folder for it to rip to (have tried 2 separate drives, includng CEverything WAS fine, until today, where I was turning on my PC to play and do some work.... :).
    • Have tried increasing quality to maximum for MP3.
None of this has any effect; I still get the error message:

Windows Media Player cannot rip one or more tracks from the CD.

If I turn the file format to WMA, then I can rip fine (but I don't want it in WMA format).

Suggestions? I've seen posts on non-microsoft forums that suggest an MP3 codec might be the issue but that seems... odd when it plays mp3s just fine. Not sure where I would get a legitimate one either?

    Thanks in advance!
